Hello, we’re RiskFlag

We’re a risk-thinking company that helps people make sound decisions under pressure.
Rooted in real-world experience, we design tools that bring structure to complexity – making risk easier to see, logic easier to follow, and evidence easier to trust when it matters most.

Why do we do, what we do?

Because we believe people making high-stakes decisions deserve better

We built RiskFlag because we’ve seen, and felt, what it’s like to carry the weight of a decision that could cost lives – and not know if the system underneath you is good enough. We’ve flown the aircraft, investigated the accidents, watched people try to manage risk with tools that aren’t fit for purpose, buried processes, and blind spots no one caught in time.

We believe people responsible for risk deserve better – better tools, better thinking, and better support. Not to tick a box, but to feel confident they’ve done the right thing - for their own safety, and that of everyone affected by what they sign off, delay, amend or approve. That’s why we do what we do.

What we do and how we do it

Originally built for aviation, our platform now supports housing, infrastructure, engineering and beyond – anywhere decisions carry real consequences.

At RiskFlag, we help organisations get a clearer picture of the risks they face and how to manage them. Drawing on our backgrounds in civil and military aviation, we use proven engineering and aerospace methods to benefit a broad range of business risk challenges. Our approach combines both data-driven insights and practical, people-focused perspectives, helping clients understand not only the data but also the cultural factors that shape how their organisation works.

We build from experience

Everything we design is shaped by first -hand responsibility for risk. That means we build tools the way they need to work when decisions are time-critical, consequences are real, and there’s no room for uncertainty.

From airworthiness to Higher-risk Buildings, we’ve understood the risks and  written the safety cases. That experience runs through the platform - how it’s structured, how information is presented, and what it enables people to do.

But experience isn’t static. Every project we support, every sector we work in, every conversation with the people using RiskFlag feeds into how the product evolves. We listen, test, improve, and build again - because getting it right is never finished.

We make things make sense

We design for decision-making. That means thinking like the people who carry the risk – and building tools that support clear, confident judgement under pressure.

We start with what needs to be understood, by whom, and when. Then we work back from there - stripping out what’s unnecessary, structuring what matters, and presenting it in a way that holds up in the moment it’s needed.

This isn’t just about clarity - it’s about responsibility. If a decision is going to be challenged, revisited, or relied on, the logic behind it needs to be visible and sound. That’s what we build for.

We stay close

We work directly with the people using RiskFlag. We respond fast, and never lose sight of the people carrying the responsibility. Because when the stakes are high, people need more than process. They need tools they can trust, support they can rely on, and confidence their decisions will stand up to scrutiny.

That means short lines of communication, real conversations, and product improvements shaped by what’s actually happening on the ground. Feedback isn’t passed through layers or parked for later – it’s acted on, tested, and built in.

We use the platform ourselves too, so we sense what works and what doesn’t – often before anyone else raises it.

We raise the bar

We bring sharper thinking to systems that need it.

That might mean applying safety case discipline from aviation into housing. Rethinking how evidence is structured so decisions are easier to explain. Or challenging inherited ways of working when they don’t stand up to scrutiny.

And we hold ourselves to the same standard. If something can be clearer, faster, more robust – we change it. We’re constantly innovating and evolving, to find the best solution to the problems that need solving.

Meet the RiskFlag Team

Mark Keeble - Partner at RiskFlag

Mark is a Chartered Engineer and former RAF test pilot with hands-on experience in understanding, and proving, what makes complex systems safe. With more than two decades flying, testing and evaluating aircraft, he’s spent his career building risk-based frameworks that help organisations make decisions they can rely on when lives are on the line. Since leaving the RAF, he’s applied that thinking beyond aviation – bringing rigour, structure and assurance to high-risk sectors facing complex procurement and safety challenges.

Ben Mark - Partner at RiskFlag

Ben brings deep operational and leadership experience to the heart of RiskFlag. A former RAF fast jet pilot and flying instructor, he’s spent his post-military career helping organisations tackle complexity through smarter systems and sharper thinking. With a background in engineering and a focus on innovation, he’s led the design and delivery of risk and safety frameworks across sectors – turning complicated, high-stakes problems into decisions people can stand behind.

Tom Jermy - Partner at RiskFlag

Tom is a highly experienced software engineer who thrives on solving complex problems with clean, intuitive solutions. He’s spent decades designing systems that guide high-consequence decision-making at scale – from multi-million dollar businesses to frontline risk environments. At RiskFlag, he leads on product development, working closely with users and the team to build powerful tools that respond fast and evolve with need. Whether it’s launching new features or fixing issues before they surface, Tom brings depth, pace and precision to everything he builds.
