Website accessibility statement

Our Aim

RiskFlag are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to achieve this goal. Our aim is to make the app as accessible and usable as possible for all our users.

The Detail

As of 03/04/2024, the app is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA. Our efforts to fully comply with these guidelines are ongoing, with current automated testing, such as Lighthouse scores, indicating an average accessibility score of 75% across frequent user journeys.

Non-Compliant Elements

While we strive for full WCAG 2.2 Level AA compliance, we acknowledge that some elements and features within the app do not fully meet these standards. These include:

  • Contrast Issues: Some text and background combinations do not meet the minimum contrast ratio, making it difficult for users with visual impairments to read content.
  • Navigational Elements: Certain navigational elements may not be fully accessible to keyboard users or those relying on assistive technologies.
  • Alternative Text for Images: Some images may lack appropriate alternative text, which is essential for screen reader users to understand the content.

We are dedicated to resolving accessibility issues and to achieve greater accessibility standards. Our plan includes:

  • Short-Term Actions (0-3 months): Immediate review and enhancement of critical pages to address contrast issues and improve keyboard navigation.
  • Mid-Term Actions (3-6 months): Comprehensive audit of our web app, including detailed testing with users who rely on assistive technologies, to identify and rectify less apparent accessibility barriers.
  • Long-Term Actions (6-12 months): Implement structural changes to our development process to include accessibility checks at each stage of the product lifecycle to ensure all new features and content are accessible.

In Conclusion

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of RiskFlag. Please let us know if you encounter any barriers to access, we endeavor to remedy specific access issues swiftly.
